Defend your server against malware with our antivirus guides. Learn how to install, configure, and manage ESET, ClamAV, ImunifyAV, and Imunify360.

Antivirus protection is your “first-pass filter” against malware that slips past firewalls and web-application defenses. Liquid Web supports three layers of coverage:

  1. Real-time Windows defense (ESET). Fully managed on our end—signature updates, live monitoring, and on-demand scans are handled for you.
  2. Linux file & email scanning (ClamAV / ImunifyAV). ClamAV ships with cPanel/WHM and can be toggled per account; ImunifyAV adds a friendlier dashboard and scheduled scans across cPanel, Plesk, and InterWorx.
  3. Comprehensive malware + WAF bundle (Imunify360). Goes beyond signature scans with machine-learning detection, herd immunity, and automatic cleanup—ideal for multi-tenant hosts.
